About Roy City Skatepark

Roy City Skatepark (widely recognized on Google Maps as West Park Skatepark and historically referred to by locals as Roy City Jam Park) is a free public, outdoor concrete skatepark located at 4586 S 2950 W, Roy, UT 84067. Tucked into the north end of the expansive Roy City West Park complex just past Roy High School, this unstaffed community facility is a long-standing fixture for skateboarding in Weber County. The park operates daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and welcomes all traditional non-motorized wheels including skateboards, scooters, inline skates, and BMX bikes. The park features a fast, transition-heavy flow layout packing a "large park attitude" into a medium-sized footprint. The architectural centerpiece of the transition zone is a dual-bowl configuration connected by a built-in concrete spine. The deep bowl features challenging 9-foot walls backed by a massive 10-foot extension pocket, while the adjacent shallow bowl graduates from 3 to 8 feet with an integrated transition hip. The street section feeds directly off the bowls, anchored by an enormous 15-foot concrete volcano pump-island that supplies endless speed for linking lines. The remaining plaza features a central pyramid, a mini handrail, launching bank ramps, and flat grind bars. Positioned inside West Park, visitors have effortless access to public restrooms, covered picnic pavilions, a playground, walking paths, sports fields, and plenty of main and overflow parking lots.
