About Riverton Skatepark
Riverton Skatepark was a free public, outdoor concrete skatepark located at 1452 W 12600 S, Riverton, UT 84065 within Riverton City Park. Historically a heavily trafficked destination for skateboarding in Riverton, this unsupervised 20-year-old facility has been permanently closed by the municipal city council due to age, safety liabilities, and unsalvageable structural wear. Before its closure, the park offered an all-concrete footprint combining street elements, such as handrails, multi-level stair sets, and hubbas, with two large transition bowls. The site is currently closed to the public behind safety fencing while local subcommittees evaluate the future potential of a completely redesigned replacement facility.
