Fort Duchesne Skatepark (officially known as the Utero Indian Skatepark or Ute Tribe Skatepark) is a free public, outdoor concrete skatepark located at Small Loop Rd & E 800 S, Fort Duchesne, UT 84026. Masterfully designed and built by Spohn Ranch in June 2012, the project successfully transformed an abandoned concrete slab at the Ute Indian Tribal Headquarters into a vibrant action sports hub. Open daily during daylight hours, this unsupervised facility stands out as a unique cultural landmark and the central spot for skateboarding in Fort Duchesne and the Uintah Basin region. The 6,000-square-foot park features an open, street-centric footprint that serves as a canvas for striking local graffiti art. Rather than deep subterranean vertical bowls, the flow is built around approachable transition and street obstacles, including a series of mellow perimeter banks, quarter pipes, low skatepark ledges, manual pads, flat grind bars, and a small hubba. Welcoming skateboards, scooters, inline skates, and BMX riders of all skill levels, the facility sits directly adjacent to tribal community parks and open athletic fields, providing a welcoming and accessible space for local youth to progress.
