Dow James Memorial Skatepark is a free public, outdoor concrete skatepark located at 435 W 400 N, Tooele, UT 84074 within the Dow James Recreation Complex. Tucked into a quiet corner of the park near Tooele High School, this long-standing municipal spot serves as a neighborhood practice ground for skateboarding in Tooele. The facility operates daily from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (aligning with total park hours) and welcomes all traditional non-motorized wheels. As an older, legacy DIY-style build, the park features a rugged concrete slab equipped with a mix of retro transition and street obstacles. The layout includes a wide mini-ramp transition wall, a standalone funbox pyramid, launching bank ramps, multi-height quarter pipes, a low flat bar, and straight concrete ledges. While the surface shows its age with a rougher texture than modern parks, it remains a heavily utilized training ground for local youth. Sharing grounds with the massive Dow James Park, visitors have direct access to a leisure playground, an 18-hole disc golf course, baseball and soccer fields, covered pavilions with grills, indoor recreation facilities, public restrooms, and paved parking lots.
