About Marquette Skatepark
Marquette Skate Plaza is a free public, outdoor concrete street facility located at 301-399 E Fair Ave, Marquette, MI 49855, alongside Lakeview Arena and the local YMCA complex. This unstaffed municipal plaza was designed by Spohn Ranch to emulate urban architectural elements in a dedicated skate-friendly environment. As one of the standout street-skating spots in the Upper Peninsula, the plaza gives riders a technical concrete layout built around ledges, rails, stairs, banks, and open lines. It is open daily during standard seasonal park access hours. The course uses a mix of standard gray and custom terracotta-tinted concrete finishes. It features integrated grass lawn planters bordered by multi-tier concrete retaining walls that also function as manual pads and long grind ledges. The main line is anchored by a Pro/Am-level 5-stair set with a square down-rail and tiered concrete hubbas. Additional street elements include an A-frame rail, standalone flat bars, and banks for turning around, with nearby access to paved parking lots and adjacent sports center amenities.
