About Eckstein Skatepark
Eckstein Skatepark in Warren, Michigan, is a massive new concrete destination spanning roughly 45,000 sq ft (over 3 acres) right in Eckstein Park at 31950 Mound Road. The park is the largest outdoor skate facility in Michigan and earned the 2025 Michigan Concrete Association Award for Flatwork Special Innovative work. Designed and built by Evergreen Skateparks with Van Horn Concrete, it features over 700 cubic yards of hand-shaped shotcrete poured over two months to sculpt smooth bowls, flowing snake runs, hips, spines, transition zones, street-style obstacles, and open plaza areas. Supported by City of Warren staff, Redrunn Skate Shop, and community voices, Eckstein has become a showcase of modern skatepark design and local support. Skate videos and reels highlight the “snake‑run” section, showing tight, surf‑style carving amid trees and open park space. With its ribbon‑like flow, varied features for all skill levels, and scenic setting, Eckstein is primed to be a major hub for skate culture in Metro Detroit.
