The skatepark is part of the larger Thomas Park Recreation Center, which encompasses 18 acres of recreational space. Amenities within the park include lighted tennis courts, a jogging path, basketball courts, and a children's playground, making it a versatile destination for families and individuals alike. The development of Thomas Park Skatepark was a collaborative effort between the local government and the skating community. The project was funded through a combination of federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and city resources, totaling approximately $500,000. The design and construction were overseen by The Platform Group and ACSW Architects, with We Skateparks serving as the contractor.
