About Reiter Park
Reiter Park is a 6-acre City of Longwood community park at 311 W Warren Ave, on the corner of Warren and Milwee Avenues near historic downtown Longwood, Florida. Fully rebuilt in a master-planned renovation by McCree General Contractors with landscape architects Dix.Hite+Partners - the project scope included skateboard facilities - the park celebrated its grand reopening on September 15, 2018, timed to the city's 140th birthday. For skaters, Reiter is a mellow neighborhood skate spot rather than a full-blown skatepark. Locals ride it as a transition-street-surf hybrid, with a small bowl for carving plus kickers, ledges, rails, and banks that reward creative, flowing lines. It's a good fit for beginners finding their feet and for anyone who wants a low-pressure session between trips to Longwood's bigger Candyland Skatepark a short ride away. Access is free and unsupervised, dawn to dusk daily, and skateboarders, BMX and scooter riders, and inline skaters share the space. Free parking for around 32 vehicles sits on site. The rest of the park is stacked for a family day out: a 2,400-square-foot amphitheater and event lawn that host concerts and food-truck nights, a seasonal splash pad, five picnic pavilions, a playground, tennis and basketball courts, boardwalk bridges, a sensory garden, fishing dock, and restrooms.
