About Oviedo Skatepark
Riverside Skate Park is a 30,000-square-foot outdoor concrete skatepark at Riverside Park, 1608 Lockwood Blvd in Oviedo, Florida, northeast of Orlando in Seminole County. Built by Team Pain - the legendary Florida crew based just up the road - around 2003, it remains one of the Orlando area's benchmark parks for quality transition. Unlike most Florida parks, Riverside is a staffed, supervised facility run by City of Oviedo Recreation & Parks. Riders check in, keep a signed waiver on file and pay a small day fee, with monthly and annual passes available. Afternoon and evening sessions run daily under lights, and the schedule alternates between skate/scooter days and BMX-only days so every discipline gets clean sessions. Helmets with chin straps are required. The terrain covers street, transition and flow. A California-style kidney pool and bowl section anchor the transition side, feeding into a flow course, while the street plaza serves up rails, movable handrails, ledges, a hubba, banks and quarter pipes. Manny pads, jersey barriers and movable obstacles let the staff refresh lines regularly, which keeps the park feeling new for regulars. Riverside Park surrounds the skatepark with a swimming pool, tennis and racquetball courts, playground, restrooms and plenty of parking, so it's an easy all-evening destination for families with riders of different ages.
