About Lakeside Skate Park

Lakeside Skate Park is a free, outdoor concrete skatepark inside Mark Durbin Community Park at Lakeside, at 2253 Lakeside Dr in the Buenaventura Lakes area of Kissimmee, Florida. Run by the City of Kissimmee as an unsupervised skate-at-your-own-risk facility, it packs more than 9,000 square feet of concrete and roughly fifteen skating elements into an open, grass-ringed layout - and it's lit for night sessions, a big plus in the Florida heat. The park was designed by Pillar Design Studios. The park is designed around a three-pointed-star footprint whose high point carries the steepest quarter pipes and banks, feeding a flowing mix of street and transition. Locals describe it as a street-plus-transition park with a loose, surfy feel: a bowl and quarter pipes for carving, plus a full street diet of stairs, hubbas, ledges, rails and down rails, manny pads, kickers, and a pyramid, with a pump track for laps between tricks. Gaps and banks knit the sections together so lines keep rolling. City rules allow skateboards (34-inch max length), inline skates (four wheels per skate), and freestyle BMX, with helmets and pads recommended. Riders of all levels session here, from neighborhood kids to nighttime regulars. Beyond the skatepark, Mark Durbin Community Park adds a roller hockey rink, playground, sports facilities, and plenty of parking, making it an easy all-day stop for families on wheels.
