About Barnett Park Skate Park
Barnett Park Skate Park is a free, outdoor concrete skatepark inside 159-acre Barnett Park at 4801 W Colonial Dr on Orlando's west side. Orange County opened the current park with a ribbon cutting on April 8, 2023, replacing the aging metal-ramp setup that stood here for years. Built by Pivot Custom Skateparks, the new build spans more than 20,000 square feet of fresh concrete. The layout leans street: rails, long ledges at grind-friendly heights, a hubba, manny pads, a pyramid, kickers, and a stair section give technical skaters plenty to work through, and the plaza flows in two main lines so you can link obstacles at speed. Transition riders aren't left out either - bowls and hips round out the far end of the park, making it one of the most complete free parks in Central Florida. It's unsupervised and open to skateboards, BMX, scooters, and inline skates, drawing everyone from first-timers to seasoned locals; the smooth concrete and forgiving obstacle heights make it a solid park to progress at any level. Barnett Park surrounds the skatepark with a full recreation campus: the Barnett Gym and fitness center, playground, splash pad, disc golf, tennis and pickleball courts, softball fields, a dog park, fishing, and a boat ramp, with restrooms close to the skatepark. Outdoor park hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in summer and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in winter, daily.
