About Barber Park Skate Park
Barber Park Skate Park is a free, outdoor concrete street plaza inside 81-acre Barber Park at 3701 Gatlin Ave in southeast Orlando, near the Conway neighborhood a short hop off the 408. It's one of Orlando's newest skateparks: Orange County cut the ribbon on November 1, 2025, with Pivot Custom Skateparks pouring the plaza over an old foundation that already existed on the site. The design is street-focused through and through. Rather than bowls or big transition, the layout centers on ledges, rails, manny pads, and curbs - a technical plaza in the same vein as the park Pivot built at Barnett Park on the city's west side a few years earlier. That makes it a natural fit for skaters drilling flip tricks, grinds, and manual combos, and the fresh concrete rolls fast and smooth. As a county park it's unsupervised and open to skateboards, BMX, scooters, and inline skates, with no pads required. Being brand new, it draws a steady mix of locals from the Conway and Lake Nona side of town. The rest of Barber Park is stacked: a covered outdoor roller-hockey rink, an inclusive playground, splash playground, dog park, pickleball and basketball courts, sand volleyball, fishing, and picnic pavilions, plus a park office with restrooms. Hours follow the county standard - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in summer, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in winter, daily.
