Azalea Skate Parking Lot - known locally as Yucatan Skate Park - is a free, outdoor street-style skate spot inside Yucatan Park at 6400 Yucatan Dr in Orlando's Azalea Park neighborhood, on the city's east side. True to its name, the setup lives on a converted parking-lot-style pad near the Japonica Drive corner of the 11-acre Orange County park, and it stays partly shaded for Florida summer sessions. The obstacles are Skatelite-surfaced ramps arranged for back-and-forth street runs rather than big transition lines. Quarter pipes anchor the ends and flank a central fun box, and in between you'll find a pyramid, a hubba, ledges, flat rails, a down rail, a bump-to-bar, and even a skateable picnic table - a compact street plaza that rewards technical, creative skating. Because it's small and mellow, the spot suits beginners working on their first ledge and rail tricks, while locals use it as a quick lap-friendly session between the area's bigger concrete parks. Skateboards, BMX, scooters, and inline skates all show up here. Yucatan Park itself adds basketball courts, a playground, a dog park, and picnic areas with grills, with free parking on site. The park follows standard Orange County hours: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in summer and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in winter, every day.
