About Artist Walk Skate Park
Artist Walk Skate Park is a free public, outdoor concrete skate plaza tucked under the west end of the Fuller Warren Bridge at 715 Riverside Ave in Jacksonville's Riverside/Brooklyn district, directly across from the Riverside Arts Market. The $8.8 million, six-acre linear park opened on August 8, 2024 after years of planning, and was designed and built by CA Skateparks - the firm behind the Paris Olympics courses - working with landscape architect Zach Wormhoudt and Florida skatepark legend Tim Payne. The park is open daily from 7 a.m. to midnight, and because the whole plaza sits beneath the bridge deck it stays shaded from sun and rain, with lighting that keeps sessions going after dark. All wheels roll here - skateboards, BMX, scooters and inline. The layout stretches three city blocks in a series of connected 'rooms' for different skill levels, weaving street, transition and flow lines around the bridge pillars. Riders work through ledges, hubbas, down rails, flat bars, kickers, a pyramid and quarter pipes, with a pump track section keeping the flow moving. Signature touches include ramps that spell out 'JAX' and replica rails from SLS Super Crown street courses. As a link in Jacksonville's Emerald Trail, Artist Walk connects Riverside to Brooklyn with curving lit walkways, benches, art plazas and turf lounging mounds - with the Saturday arts market right across the street.
