About The Loop Pump Track
The Loop Pump Track is a world-class outdoor asphalt pump track at Gateway Park, 500 Otis Ave in Corcoran, California, in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley. Designed and built by Velosolutions for the City of Corcoran, it opened in April 2023 and is widely cited as one of the largest pump tracks in the United States. Laid out in the shape of an infinity symbol - the inspiration for its name - The Loop offers a seemingly endless number of line choices across its sprawling web of rollers and banked turns. The dynamic racing layout challenges riders of all skill levels, from first-timers learning to pump to elite racers at full speed. The track has quickly earned competition credentials: in March 2025 it hosted a USA qualifier for the Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships, drawing elite men's and women's fields to this small Central Valley city. Riding is free at this unsupervised public facility. The smooth asphalt surface suits BMX bikes, mountain bikes, skateboards, scooters, and even rollerblades, making it a true all-wheels destination rather than a bikes-only track. The Loop anchors the city's 8-acre Gateway Park, which also features playgrounds, picnic areas, walking paths, a custom-designed splash pad, and the Five Pillars of Freedom veterans memorial, so families can easily make a day of it. Corcoran sits along Highway 43 between Fresno and Bakersfield, and The Loop has become a genuine draw for riders across the Central Valley - a signature piece of the city's push to grow its recreation offerings.
