About Serenity Skatepark
Serenity Skatepark is a free public, outdoor concrete skatepark paired with a multi-use pump track at 19685 Palomar St in Lake Elsinore, California, a city that proudly brands itself the 'Action Sports Capital of the World.' The two facilities sit side by side inside Serenity Park, a full neighborhood park in the Sedco Hills area. The skatepark was designed and built by Spohn Ranch as a design-build project and opened in July 2015. It is a compact, street-oriented concrete park featuring a modified peanut bowl for transition riders plus a flowing street course with concrete ledges, boxes, a small stair set, banked transitions of varied steepness, and round grind rails powder-coated in Lake Elsinore's signature blue, with a bank extension carrying the city logo. The adjacent pump track was added a couple of years later, around 2017-2018, billed by the city as its first BMX track. Its design is unusual: rather than being sculpted into the ground, the rollers rise up from a flat pad like big rounded speed bumps, woven into a complex layout of narrow intersections and steep banked turns that rewards creative line choices. Low-clearance longboards can bottom out on some humps. Both areas are free, unsupervised, and open daily from 6 a.m. to sunset with no lights, and the city posts dedicated skate/pump track rules on site. Serenity Park rounds out a session nicely with a parking lot, restrooms, picnic tables and shelters, a playground, a dog park, basketball and tennis courts, and a quarter-mile fitness trail.
