About BMX Pump Track at Clyde Bland Park
The BMX Pump Track at Clyde Bland Park is Tracy's first public pump track, a free asphalt-paved facility at 1803 Blandford Lane in the city's southwest neighborhoods. It opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 28, 2026, drawing a big crowd of local riders. The track was built under a $1.6 million construction contract awarded to Frontline General Engineering Construction in July 2025, with design work by Westwood Services and Spohn Ranch Skateparks and construction management by Griffin Structures. It arrived alongside a broader package of Clyde Bland Park improvements, including ADA upgrades, sports court replacements, and new amenities. It is the first of three pump tracks the city plans to develop by 2040 under its 2022 Citywide Parks, Recreation & Trails Master Plan. The paved layout features two separate loops, an intermediate loop and an advanced loop, made up of hills, dips, and banked curves that let riders build momentum through pumping rather than pedaling. The smooth asphalt surface welcomes bikes, skateboards, and scooters, and the dual-loop design gives newer riders room to learn while faster riders link laps on the bigger line. The track is free, unsupervised, and managed by the City of Tracy's Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, designed for riders of all ages and skill levels. It sits within Clyde Bland Park, an 8.67-acre community park with on-site parking, restrooms, ball fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, walking paths, picnic tables, and shaded seating, making it easy to turn a session into a full afternoon at the park.
