About Alga Norte Skatepark
Alga Norte Skatepark is located at 6565 Alicante Road inside the Alga Norte Community Park in Carlsbad, California. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., the skatepark is one of the most well-rounded parks in North County San Diego, featuring a pump track designed for continuous lines, quarter hips, quarter pipes, manual pads, ledges, a street plaza, funbox, steps, rail slides, a hubba, a Combi bowl, and a backyard bowl. The park is built on concrete and has lights for evening sessions. The park was designed by Stantec. One unique aspect of Alga Norte is that the local high school uses the skatepark for physical education classes, giving students the opportunity to skate as part of their PE curriculum. It's one of the few skateparks in the country that serves double duty as both a public recreational facility and a school athletics resource. Bicycles and scooters are prohibited in the skatepark. Beyond the skating facilities, Alga Norte Community Park spans 32 acres and offers an aquatic center, dog park, ball fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, and shaded picnic areas with barbecues, making it a great family-friendly destination. Free admission with parking available.
