About Unit 23

Unit 23 is a paid indoor skatepark in Dumbarton, on the banks of the River Clyde, billed as the largest indoor skatepark in the UK. Housed in a building known as The Old Bond on Castlegreen Street, it has been open since 2002. It spans over 56,000 square feet of bespoke wooden ramps across three separate halls, each with its own design to suit every skill level. That scale and its multi-award-winning reputation make it a genuine Scottish institution. Hall 1 is a large open transition arena with an open-sided bowl full of corners and bumps, a raised level with a hubba and rail, a spined quarter pipe, and two bowled areas each with a massive vert wall. Hall 2 is larger, blending a flowing transition section with bowled edges, flat banks, and a central island alongside a small street section. Across the halls it also packs in a massive replica of the legendary Little Devil bowl, a huge foam pit fed by a mini mega ramp, and a fully padded mini ramp for learning. It caters to skateboarders, BMX riders, scooter riders, and rollerbladers, from beginners to experienced. It's a pay-to-skate venue open every day of the year except Christmas, so there's a big skate for your buck. On-site there's a pro shop, a restaurant, coaching, and full floodlighting.
