About Slades Farm
Slades Farm Skatepark is a free, outdoor concrete park at Slades Farm in the Winton area of Bournemouth, Dorset. It's run by BCP Council next to the Slades Farm community centre. It's regarded as one of the oldest skateparks in the UK and one of the more unusual. The all-concrete design centres on a huge, oddly shaped freeform bowl. A large flat area is surrounded on all sides by a bowled edge, with a spine in the middle and a roll-in with a rail. A curving mini ramp channel opens out into a bigger kidney-bean-shaped bowl. The upper level adds some metal ramps, including a box and a driveway. The transitions are mellow, which makes it welcoming for beginners as well as experienced transition riders. The wider site is a family park with a large playground, sports pitches, and woodland nature trails. There's also a community cycling centre, with parking on site.
