About Hemel Skatepark
Hemel Hempstead Skatepark sits in Gadebridge Park, the largest green space in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. It's run by Dacorum Borough Council as a free, outdoor facility. The park is split into two sections of different eras and difficulty. Older metal ramps on a tarmac base sit alongside a newer concrete street section added in August 2014 by Freestyle Skateparks. The concrete section is smooth and fairly mellow, built on two levels linked by a stair set, ramp, and hubba. It holds a hip, a curved ledge, a manual pad, a long block, and a long quarter. The older metal section leans toward intermediate and advanced riders, with a mini ramp, quarters, banks, and a wall ride. Together they give skaters, BMX riders, and scooter riders a good spread of terrain. It sits beside a car park off Leighton Buzzard Road, with a large playground, splash park, and outdoor gym nearby. Toilets and refreshments are close at hand within the park.
