About Gurnell Skatepark

Gurnell Skatepark, also known as Gurnell Concrete Skatepark and Bowl, is a free, outdoor concrete skatepark next to Gurnell Leisure Centre on Ruislip Road East in Ealing, west London. It opened in September 2011, built by Freestyle. It's managed and maintained by the Ealing Skatepark Association, a group of dedicated volunteers, and it packs in a wide variety of obstacles for both street and transition riders. That range makes it popular with skaters of all skill levels. At one end is a figure-8 bowl running from 4.5 to 6 feet, with shallow and deep sections, smooth transitions, and pool coping, plus an open-ended bowled section with hips and 3-foot roll-ins. One side of the bowl has a long flat bank with a built-in ledge and a cheese wedge that leads into the street area. The street section packs in a driveway with a rail and a hip, a funbox with a manny pad, ledge, and volcano that doubles as a pump bump, and a euro gap. At the back sits a cluster including a steep bank and a large 4-stair set with a wall ride and a hubba ledge, and there's also a wooden mini-ramp alongside the concrete. It's ideal for skateboards, BMX bikes, scooters, and rollerbladers of all levels, with a welcoming community that runs special events like girls' nights and over-30s nights. It's free, run by Ealing Council, next to the leisure centre with parking, a short walk from Perivale tube.
