About Gretton Skatepark
Gretton Skatepark is a free, outdoor concrete park at Gretton Recreation Ground in the village of Gretton, near Corby in North Northamptonshire. It's run by Gretton Parish Council. The park was installed by local firm Boardroom Skateparks, alongside a new outdoor gym by Proludic. It was the result of a big community campaign and fundraising drive backed by grant funding, and had its official opening in 2024. The layout is a back-and-forth concrete plaza with flat banks forming a central channel. A spine, quarters, a flat rail, and a grind ledge give it a street-focused feel. Its smooth, mellow terrain suits beginners and younger riders as much as more experienced ones. Skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter riders all share the space. It sits within a well-equipped rec ground with a large playground, football pitches, and a multi-use games area. A sports and social club sits right beside it, with the village's landmark water tower rising behind.
