About Glenholme Park
Glenholme Park Skatepark is a free, outdoor concrete park in Glenholme Park in the town of Crook, County Durham. It's run by Durham County Council. The current concrete park was built by Wheelscape in February 2017. It replaced the site's original metal ramps with a smoother, quieter surface. The layout is a plaza-style, back-and-forth street course. It holds banks, ledges, a stair set with a handrail, a spine, and quarter pipes at the ends. That street focus makes it a good spot for grinds, slides, and technical lines, while the mellow transitions keep it beginner-friendly. Skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter riders all use it. The fenced park has floodlights for evening sessions, set within open parkland with seating around it. Bare trees and grass fields surround the site.
