About Bonnyrigg Skatepark
Bonnyrigg Skatepark is a free, outdoor concrete park in King George V Park in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, just outside Edinburgh. It's run by Midlothian Council. The modern concrete park combines a street section with a bowl. The bowl runs from a shallow end around 5ft deep to a deep end near 7ft. The street side holds a funbox, ledges, rails, and a stair set, with a quarter pipe at either end. A curved rainbow rail and a rounded bump add some quirky, characterful features. There are plenty of banks to link lines together across the park. It welcomes skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter riders, and the mix suits a range of abilities. The park has aged a little but remains a solid local spot with a good flow. It sits in a public park with playing fields and green space.
