About Alford Skatepark
Alford Skatepark is a free, outdoor all-concrete bowl in the centre of Alford, a small town in rural Aberdeenshire. It's run by Aberdeenshire Council. The park is a single deep bowl, around 1.8 metres deep, split into two sections. A spine, teardrop, and volcano run down the middle to divide it. A roll-in sits on one side, with a small inset speed corner on another and an extension on a third. The surface is super smooth, so you can pump around the bumps and corners without pushing once. That flowing, transition-focused layout makes it a good spot for beginners learning the basics or a relaxed afternoon session. Skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter riders all use it. It sits in a town park with grass sports pitches and woodland around it. Its rural location means public transport is limited, with the nearest train station some distance away.
