About Skatepark Laufen
Skatepark Laufen is a concrete park in this Birs valley town in the detached Laufental district of Basel-Landschaft. Built in 2015, the park features a bowl, ledges, and quarter pipes. Laufen sits in the narrow Laufental, which historically belonged to the Bishop of Basel and only joined Basel-Landschaft in 1994 after leaving Bern canton. The town has a charming old center. The gorges of the Birs upstream provide dramatic scenery. The park provides recreation in this historically distinct corner of northwestern Switzerland.
