Skatepark Ilanz/Glion is a concrete park in this Graubünden town that claims to be the first town on the Rhine. Built in 2023, the park features a bowl, ledges, and quarter pipes. Ilanz sits where the Vorderrhein exits the Surselva valley, making it the first settlement of town status along the Rhine's course from its alpine source to the North Sea. The town is bilingual in Romansh and German. The Ruinaulta (Rhine gorge) begins just downstream. After skating you can explore the dramatic Swiss Grand Canyon carved by the young Rhine.
