About Skatepark Gaskessel
Skatepark Gaskessel is a concrete park at the Gaskessel cultural center in Bern's Marzili quarter. Built in 2011, the park features a bowl, ledges, rails, and quarter pipes. The Gaskessel is a converted gas storage building that now serves as a music venue and cultural space. The nearby Marzili outdoor pool on the Aare river is Bern's most beloved swimming spot where locals float downstream in the turquoise glacial water. After skating you can swim in the Aare, one of Europe's great urban swimming experiences.
