About Skatepark Einsiedeln
Skatepark Einsiedeln is a concrete park in Switzerland's most important pilgrimage town, home to the Benedictine abbey with the Black Madonna. Built in 2015, the park features a bowl, ledges, and quarter pipes. Einsiedeln Abbey has been a pilgrimage destination for over a thousand years, with the baroque church dominating the town square. The surrounding moorland is a UNESCO biosphere reserve. In winter, the nearby ski areas draw crowds. The Sihlsee, Switzerland's largest reservoir, is just south of town. Skating in the shadow of one of Europe's great pilgrimage churches is a unique contrast.
