About Bowl de Vidy
Bowl de Vidy is one of Switzerland's oldest and most legendary skate spots, a concrete bowl on the shores of Lake Geneva in Lausanne's Vidy park. Built in 1999, this bowl has been sessioned by generations of Swiss skaters and remains a pilgrimage site for transition riders. The lakeside setting is spectacular, with views across Lac Léman to the French Alps and the Chablais mountains. Vidy itself is a popular recreation area with beaches, sports facilities, and the Olympic Museum nearby. Skating a bowl with Alpine lake views on a clear day is one of Switzerland's great outdoor experiences. The concrete has weathered beautifully over the decades.
