About Nova Gorica Skatepark
Nova Gorica's skatepark serves this unique border city built after WWII when the old Gorizia was assigned to Italy - Yugoslavia constructed an entirely new city on its side, separated by a fence that became Europe's last border wall until it fell when Slovenia joined Schengen. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Nova Gorica and Italian Gorizia are jointly the European Capital of Culture 2025, celebrating their reunification. The Vipava valley wines and Brda hills (Slovenia's Tuscany) surround the city. The park draws riders from the Goriška region. The food blends Slovenian and Friulian - jota, štruklji, and world-class Brda wines.
