Ajdovščina's skatepark serves this Vipava Valley town built within the remarkably preserved walls of the Roman fortress Castra - the rectangular Roman wall circuit with its towers is one of the best-preserved in the Alpine region. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. The Vipava Valley is famous for the fierce Burja (Bora) wind that can reach 200 km/h, and for its increasingly acclaimed wines. The valley's Mediterranean microclimate produces figs, olives, and excellent white wines. The park draws riders from the Vipava Valley. The food is a Karst-Mediterranean blend - pršut, olive oil, vipavski štruklji, and natural wines from local producers.
