About Saratov Skatepark
Saratov's skatepark on the Cosmonauts' Embankment honors the city's space heritage - Yuri Gagarin landed near Saratov after the first human spaceflight in 1961, and he had trained at the local aviation school. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Saratov sits on the Volga's western bank with the massive road bridge connecting it to Engels across the river. The city's 19th-century merchant architecture and conservatory (one of Russia's oldest) add cultural depth. The park draws riders from the middle-lower Volga.
