Ivanovo's skatepark in Stepanov Park serves the 'City of Brides' - a nickname from the Soviet era when textile factories employed predominantly women. The concrete park features ledges, banks, quarter pipes, manual pads, and flat bars. Ivanovo was the 'Russian Manchester,' the center of the textile industry, and played a key role in the 1905 Revolution when workers formed the first Soviet (council).
