About Silves Skatepark
Silves Skatepark is a park in this former Moorish capital of the Algarve, a stunning hilltop town crowned by a massive red sandstone castle. The concrete park features a bowl, ledges, and quarter pipes near the riverside. Silves was once the most important city in the Algarve, rivaling Lisbon in size during the Moorish period, and the castle and cathedral testify to its former glory. The annual Medieval Festival transforms the town into a living history spectacle. The Arade River provides a beautiful setting, and the town produces excellent citrus fruits.
