Skatepark Wyspa is in Osiedle Piastowskie in Poznań, one of the most dynamic cities in western Poland known for its Renaissance Old Market Square, international trade fairs, and St. Martin's croissants (rogale świętomarcińskie). The park features ledges, flat bars, banks, a quarterpipe, and a kicker on concrete. Poznań is the historic capital of Greater Poland (Wielkopolska), where Polish statehood originated, and the cathedral on Ostrów Tumski island is where Poland's first rulers are buried. The city has excellent restaurants - particularly along Stary Rynek - and the Maltanka miniature railway and Lake Malta recreation area are popular.
