About Skatepark Gliwice
Skatepark Gliwice is on Akademicka near the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, one of the Upper Silesian conurbation's most academic cities. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. Gliwice is home to one of Poland's best technical universities, giving it a young, intellectual atmosphere. The city is also home to the Gliwice Radio Tower - the tallest wooden structure in the world at 118 meters, which was the site of the false flag Gleiwitz incident that Nazi Germany used as a pretext to invade Poland in 1939. The Rynek market square has been restored, and there are student-friendly restaurants and bars. The university influence keeps the skate scene active.
