Frankfort Skatepark is a free public, outdoor concrete skatepark located at 7th St & Sky Pl, Frankfort, MI 49635, within the community grounds of Market Square Park. Serving as a custom-sculpted transition hub for skateboarding in Benzie County, this municipal facility brings a signature West Coast-style flow layout to northern Michigan. Designed and built in 2015 by transition specialists Evergreen Skateparks, the facility features park lighting and operates daily during regular park hours. Its compact but highly sculpted design makes it a strong destination for riders who enjoy continuous movement, carving, and transition-focused lines. The architecture trades traditional rectangular street plaza layouts for a fluid, 6,000-square-foot interconnected concrete flow system. Designed symmetrically, the terrain centers on a massive open outer bowl matrix surrounding a smaller interior bowl pocket, tied together by two flat-top central volcanoes and a tight spine transition. With smooth concrete coping and continuous mounds wrapping the full 360-degree perimeter, riders can drop in from almost any point or roll in through dual entry banks to maintain surf-style speed without pushing. Located just blocks from the Lake Michigan shoreline, the skatepark also shares access to nearby park amenities, including paved parking, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a youth playground.
