About Vik Skatepark
Vik Skatepark is on Vangsvegen in Vik i Sogn, a village on the southern shore of the Sognefjord. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. Vik is home to the Hopperstad Stave Church, one of Norway's oldest and most beautiful wooden churches dating from about 1130, and the Hove Stone Church nearby is equally historic. The village sits beneath mountains with views across the fjord, and the Vikøyri old quarter has traditional wooden buildings. There are basic shops and a couple of restaurants, and the ferry across the fjord connects to Balestrand. A deeply historic setting for a small park.
