About Steinkjer Skatepark
Steinkjer Skatepark is at Guldbergaunet in the administrative center of old Nord-Trøndelag county, sitting at the head of the Beitstadfjord. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. Steinkjer was heavily bombed during WWII and rebuilt in a functional post-war style, but the surrounding countryside is beautiful with rock art sites dating back 6,000 years. The Bøla Rock Carvings are among the most impressive prehistoric art sites in Norway. There are basic restaurants and shops in town, and the Trøndelag landscape of gentle hills and farmland surrounds the area.
