About Skåbu Skatepark
Skåbu Skatepark is on Skåbuvegen in Skåbu, a tiny mountain village in Nord-Fron municipality in the Gudbrandsdal valley, at around 900 meters elevation. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. Skåbu is one of Norway's highest-altitude villages and serves as a gateway to the Espedalen valley and the Jotunheimen mountain range. The skiing season here is long, and summer is brief but beautiful with wildflowers and mountain streams. There's a small shop and a few tourist facilities, and the surrounding mountains offer excellent hiking. This might be one of Norway's most remote skateparks.
