About Røros Skatepark
Røros Skatepark is on Sundveien in this UNESCO World Heritage mining town in the Trøndelag mountains at 628 meters elevation. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. Røros is one of Norway's most beautiful and best-preserved towns - the colorful wooden houses along Bergmannsgata and the massive stone church date from the copper mining era that lasted from 1644 to 1977. The town regularly records some of Norway's coldest temperatures, with minus 40 not unheard of in winter. The Røros Martnan winter market in February is legendary, and the local food scene - including reindeer, trout, and craft beer - is excellent. The skating season is short but the cultural experience is rich.
