About Narvik Skatepark
Narvik Skatepark sits on Brugata in this dramatic Nordland town squeezed between steep mountains and the Ofotfjord. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. Narvik is famous for the fierce WWII battles fought here in 1940 and for the Ofoten Railway that carries iron ore from Sweden to the ice-free port. The Narvikfjellet ski resort rises directly above town and offers panoramic views. Modern Narvik has reinvented itself with Arctic adventure tourism, and there are restaurants and cafรฉs along the main street. The combination of mountains plunging into fjords makes this one of Norway's most dramatically situated towns.
