About Namsos Skatepark
Namsos Skatepark is on Kleivavegen in this timber town at the mouth of the Namsen River, one of the world's best Atlantic salmon rivers. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. Namsos has been called the 'Rock City' of Norway for its outsized contribution to Norwegian rock and pop music, and there's even a Rock City museum celebrating this heritage. The town was bombed flat during WWII and rebuilt in concrete, but the river valley and fjord setting are scenic. The Namsen salmon fishing season draws international anglers, and local restaurants serve excellent fish.
