About Kongsberg Skatepark
Kongsberg Skatepark is on Glitreveien in this historic mining town that was once the silver capital of Norway, with the Royal Silver Mines dating back to the 1600s. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe on well-maintained concrete. Kongsberg hosts one of Scandinavia's biggest jazz festivals each July, filling the old mining town with music. The Norwegian Mining Museum tells the story of the silver that made the town wealthy, and the impressive Kongsberg Church is one of Norway's largest Baroque churches. There are restaurants and pubs along Storgata, especially lively during festival season.
