About Koengen Skatepark
Koengen Skatepark is located at Bergenhus 11 in central Bergen, near the historic Bergenhus Fortress and the famous Bryggen wharf. Built in 2014, this outdoor park has an unbeatable location - you're skating with medieval fortress walls and the UNESCO World Heritage Hanseatic buildings as your backdrop. The park has a compact but fun layout with ledges, flat bars, banks, and some transition features. The Koengen area is also Bergen's main outdoor concert venue, hosting massive acts during the summer festival season. The harbor atmosphere with fishing boats and the fish market nearby adds to the experience. Of course, being Bergen, rain can shut things down at any moment, but catching a sunny session here with the fortress and fjord views is one of Norwegian skateboarding's great experiences.
