About Hyllestad Skatepark
Hyllestad Skatepark is at the Hyllestad school in this tiny municipality on the northern shore of the Sognefjord. The park has ledges, flat bars, banks, and a quarterpipe. Hyllestad is famous as the center of Viking-era quernstone (millstone) production - the quarries here supplied millstones across Scandinavia for centuries, and the Hyllestad Quernstone Park is a unique cultural heritage site. The municipality is small and rural, with fjord scenery and quiet roads. Very limited services, but the historical significance and natural beauty are remarkable. One of Norway's most remote and historically interesting skatepark locations.
