About Gamlebyen Sport & Fritid
Gamlebyen Sport & Fritid skatepark is located at Dyvekes vei 2 in Gamlebyen (Old Town), Oslo's historic core where the medieval city began. Dating from 2000, it's one of Oslo's oldest purpose-built skateparks and has been a fixture of the scene for over two decades. The park has a classic layout with ledges, flat bars, banks, and some transition elements. The Gamlebyen area is full of medieval ruins - the remains of St. Hallvard's Cathedral and the Royal Palace ruins are literally around the corner. Skating among thousand-year-old history gives this park a unique character. The park shows its age in places but has been maintained enough to keep sessions going. It's a piece of Oslo skate history and the older local skaters have deep connections to this spot.
