About Finalebanen Skatepark
Finalebanen Skatepark is located on Klostergata in central Trondheim, near the Nidaros Cathedral. Built in 2015, this outdoor park is the city's main open-air spot. The layout has a good mix of street features and transition elements with quality concrete. Being so central means it's the most visible and accessible park in the city - tourists walking to the cathedral often stop to watch the skaters. The Nidelva River and the old town bridge (Gamle Bybro) are nearby, and the area has excellent cafes and restaurants. Summer sessions in Trondheim are special - at the solstice, the sun barely sets, giving you essentially 24-hour daylight skating. The park draws everyone from NTNU students to local kids and visiting skaters.
